Pink Floyd lanzó su primer single desde 1994 y destinará las ganancias para ayudar a Ucrania
A través de sus redes sociales la banda Pink Floyd confirmó el lanzamiento de «Hey Hey Rise Up», su nuevo single desde 1994. El dato curioso es que no contará con la voz de David Gilmour sino con la de un cantante ucraniano el cual su voz fue tomada de una publicación de Instagram grabada en Kiev. Se trata de Andriy Khlyvnyuk de la banda ucraniana Boombox quien publicó en las redes sociales una canción de protesta ucraniana de la era de la Primera Guerra Mundial «The Red Viburnum In The Meadow».
La música fue grabada el 30 de marzo por Gilmour y Nick Mason, acompañado del bajista Guy Pratt y Nitin Sawhney en teclado. Por su parte Roger Water no participó de la grabación.
La canción viene acompañado por un video clib grabado el 30 de marzo dirigido por Mat Whitecross.
